This is a doubleweave project I learned from Suzanne Halvorson. I made a scarf like this but the photos didn't come out, so this is the wall hanging. It's cool because you can put pencils or knitting needles in the "pocket" areas. This is rayon chenille and I need to get it ready to hang.
Color has always been very important to me. I've changed focus in the past year. I'm still spinning and weaving, but including other loves I have as well. I hope you enjoy the new and the old creative endeavors. I am still selling supplies if you are interested on Ebay and Etsy.

Just off the loom
I've been weaving yardage of the colorgrown organic cotton and took 7 yards off the loom this weekend. It's in an M and O's woven pattern and the colors really look great after washing....if you go to the December 25th blog you can see this before washing.

Flame Painting on Copper...just learning
I just thought I'd share some of the current copper painting I've been doing. This is all in the learning process. I can't reproduce anything yet. But they are really cool and I'm going to use them in different ways.
This will become a pendant |
This is one of the first. It's framed in copper from an old roof in Silver City |
Just practice pieces to become earrings or small necklaces |
these will be earrings, they are tiny really maybe 1/2 inch |
earrings to be...do they have to match? |
Almost earrings...I framed the painting with a pounded edge |
It's hard to see but the flame is beginning to be controlled |
Just another "stock" piece to do something with it |
